SCIENTIFIC, HOLISTIC, TAILORED

Hoof trimming services are tailored to each individual horse's needs. We use a science based approach to optimise hoof usability. We consider many factors - the horses individual conformation, age, level of work, previous or current injuries, present or past hoof issues, current condition, and future aims of the owner.

A fitting service and advice on the use of hoof boots and therapeutic pads is available if required. Boots and pads are a great tool to support the hooves during the transition stage, as well as the more pahtological cases, such as laminitis. We can supply most popular hoof boots and carry a small stock of the most common sizes and brands.

What's it all about.....

The horse has an amazing ability to adapt to its environment, and going unshod means the hoof is allowed to adapt, and heal, naturally. We work with that natural ability to get the best hoof possible under your horse, through a scientific and holistic approach, combining an established trimming technique with our detailed understanding of how environmental factors influence the condition of the horses hoof.

Over the years, many professionals have proven time and again that horses can work without shoes, sometimes to a very high level. This is achieved through establishing hoof-friendly horse management practices and identifying and dealing with any factors that are negatively affecting the hoof condition, such as diet, turnout regime, type of bedding.
